Birth and....Monologues
Get ready for a heartwarming exchange of love and support at Sokana Collective's highly anticipated annual Birth and… Monologues event on September 20th, from 1–3:00pm!
Immerse yourself in the spirit of community and connection as the excitement builds for this special gathering. Hear inspiring stories, share laughter and tears, and celebrate the beauty of fertility, birth, lactation, and parenthood with fellow attendees. Come to listen, or you may be compelled to speak.
Immediately following the event, from 3–4pm, we invite you to join us for an Open House at the Sokana Collective space. Take a tour, see where the work happens, and connect with our team. Light refreshments will be served, and there’s no need to stay the entire time—just drop in, say hello, and share in community.

We are looking for people who are interested in reading submitted monologues at the event. If you are interested please click below for more information and to sign up.
A birth happens and there are so many different vantage points from the same birth. The one in labor, the partner, the doula, the medical staff etc. If you sit down with each of them and ask about what they witnessed or what they experienced, it’ll all be different.
So what is your experience? Was it during a fertility journey, maybe a loss, or the exact birth you wanted. Whatever it is, there may be someone else with the a similar journey who needs to hear your story.
