Meet Jacinda

A Muslima, with Choctaw lineage, I try to be in relations, knowing that I am a spiritual being having a physical moment. I have been in Birth Work for approximately 9 years as a Doula and am in my 2nd year of Midwifery school. I have supported numerous families along their birthing journeys. My full time profession is Co- Founder of the arts based healing and Hip Hop organization, Kuumba Lynx. I like to challenge the state quo utilizing Hip Hop art and culture. I am a an instigating art maker and creative activator. I like to write poems, talk story, produce, host, dream up new ways of practicing equity, joy and hope. I enjoy facilitating arts based healing workshops. I am curious about somatics, divine touch, and what DNA joys we inherit. I believe in healing centered engagement. I support the growth and artistry of many of Chicago”s creative change makers. I love to have a good meditative walk. I am always seeding, weeding, and believing in new growth.
